Grainstone

Description: Well sorted oolitic grainstone with fine to medium-sized quartz grains. Numerous ooids show a first layer of radial cortical fabric followed by concentric layers. (Modern)

Description: Poorly sorted bioclastic grainstone (locally packstone) with peloids and debris of bryozoans, echinoids, bivalves and rotaliids. Intergranular porosity is abundant.

Description: Bioclastic sandy grainstone with quartz sand grains, sandstone intraclasts and debris of bivalves, bryozoans, echinoids and brachiopods. Intergranular porosity is abundant.
