Description: Bioclastic intraclastic peloidal grainstone (locally rudstone) with benthic forams and micritised debris of brachiopods, echinoderms and molluscs. Pore space is filled by blocky calcite cement.

Description: Sideritic oolitic dolostone where ooids and lesser pisoids are replaced by planar-s dolomite cement. The matrix consists of siderite with organic debris and quartz silt grains.

Description: Bioclastic peloidal packstone capped by a palaeosol that is, in turn, overlaid with a sandy bioclastic floatstone with clays between grains that have been partially removed during thin-section preparation. Very few soil pisoids are present. (Quarternary, SW Morocco)

Description: Bioclastic packstone with abundant nummulids and other rotaliids, corallinacean algae and lesser debris of echinoderms. Miliolids and textulariids are present and pores are filled by blocky calcite cement.
